I’ve been spending most of my time working and thinking about what I would be doing if I was not working. Having just finished up two projects for dance companies, and a couple backstage show calls, I’m trying to find space to breathe.
Recently my eye goes to cast-off clothing and immediately I begin to think of what I can do to it to make it work for me. I have a whole pile of skirts and dresses in need of attention. Also, after finishing client work today (it’s Seersucker suit season) I whipped up a little elastic-waisted skirt from a men’s button down shirt. Something easy and simple. Picture to come, but here’s one I made last year from one of A’s cast offs whose cuffs had worn out beyond repair. My model Zoe is a very small size, but then again so is A. Our Irises are up, it’s raining almost constantly, and my optimistic outlook is a little wishy-washy, but overall not too bad. Inspiration is coming mostly in the form of looking at other people’s blogs and Pinterest, but it is a start. I’ve read a lot of books this month and Summer looks fairly promising.
